June 5-8 Highlights of New York
Karl and I enjoyed walking down the streets of Manhattan, drinking in the sights, sounds, smells, noises, all overwhelming our senses! People of all different cultures and languages, some rushing around, others just like us with their I-phones and cameras out, snapping pictures as they wander through the tall buildings, and trying to figure out where we are! Our phones kept losing their signals, frustrating! We saw and did a lot in New York City. This has been one of our favorite stops!

9/11 Memorial in New York
Two Reflecting Pools are now in the same location of where the Twin Towers were. Thirty foot waterfalls cascade into the pools, descending into a void in the center. The names of the nearly 3000 victims are inscribed on the surrounding walls. It is a very moving tribute.
