Segway Tour in Yorktown, VA

Segways!

Saturday, May 11
We did something I thought we would never do, ride around town on a Segway!   It is not  as easy as it looks, because it is all dependent on your feet and balance.  You can make it go faster by pressing down on your toes and can make it stop by pressing back on your heels.  All at the speed of no faster that 8 miles an hour!  I  felt like it also gave my core strength a slight work-out, too!  It was an  interesting way to see the town, but it took me some time to relax and enjoy looking around at that break-neck speed, dodging the others in our group and avoid falling!  Yorktown is known for the site of one of the last battles in the Revolutionary War, when George Washington defeated the British under Cornwallis in 1781.
A spill, not  us fortunately!  No injuries!

We  also went  to the Farmer's Market that morning.  I bought some great produce and homemade bread.
