April 13-14
We traveled 40 miles on the Waccamaw River to Myrtle Beach, SC. The river is peaceful. The banks are lined with old knotty cypress trees. We saw many huge Osprey nests, cormorants and anhingas. It rained intermittently, sometimes rather hard. We were happy to pull into the Marina at Grand Dunes.
Karl ran on Myrtle Beach the next morning. We spent a few lazy days here, the weather was overcast and windy. Karl and I have spent many summer vacations with family in this area at Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island. It is a favorite place for us!
We were happy to see Tiger Woods win the Masters Tournament on Sunday. What a comeback!
